Start with the Declaration Requirements
Learn the groups for a complete declaration. Sorting clarifies cards, but cannot assure the next draw or paid result. Check sequence, set and joker rules first.
Terms for Arranging the Hand
- Consecutive suit group: Cards such as 5♦ 6♦ 7♦ make a same-suit run. The common rules require a natural sequence without a substituting joker, plus the other required groups.
- Equal-rank group: Different suits of one rank, such as K♥ K♠ K♦, can make a permitted set.
- Substituting card: A designated joker can fill a missing card where permitted, but cannot replace the natural-sequence requirement.
